Lucille's Bar

Dec 04, 2023

TEMECULA, CA — Lucille's Smokehouse Bar-B-Que is fighting food insecurity one diner at a time, thanks to its Round It Up America offering where guests who donate a tidbit of their bill receive a sweet treat of thanks.

Restaurant guests can dine in or pick up to-go orders at Temecula Lucille's Smokehouse Bar-B-Que, located at the Promenade Temecula Mall shopping center at 40748 Winchester Road.

Supporting others is just one reason to eat inside the restaurant, that and a little delicious dessert.

Lucille's is continuing its support of local food banks by offering a bonus card valid for a free Old-Fashioned Banana Pudding or seasonal pudding for dine-in guests who donate $3 or more through Round It Up America, according to a news release from the restaurant chain.

Round It Up America is a platform that encourages restaurant guests to donate change.

According to the program website, Round It Up America is rallying America's restaurants to feed the needs of the nation's communities.

"It is a simple yet extraordinary program that enables restaurant customers paying with a credit card to round up their bill to the nearest dollar with that amount going to charitable causes chosen by the restaurant," the website states.

To date, participating restaurant companies, including Lucille's, have helped to raise $1.7 million for 42 charities and counting.

"We care about the communities in which we do business," Joan Hansen, vice president of marketing Hofman Hospitality Group said about the ongoing struggle with food insecurity. "Our partnership with Round It Up America allows Lucille's, and our guests, to do our part to support local food banks."
